For over 40 years, Gene has been a trusted advisor for both individuals and business leaders, helping them navigate complex estate planning and business succession challenges. Gene has long been guided by the belief that comprehensive strategic planning is the most effective way to take care of the people you care about.  

Today, he serves as Co-Founder and President of LoVasco Consulting Group, helping businesses deliver world-class total rewards strategies and provide individuals with concierge-level wealth management services. He and his son, Mike, created LoVasco Consulting Group to be a full-service consultancy that makes taking care of people less draining and more rewarding than most think possible.  

Whether safeguarding loved ones at home or making critical decisions for your organization’s employees, Gene works with people who are the kinds of individuals that people depend on. “At LoVasco, we believe no one should have to navigate these decisions alone. We exist to help,” Gene says.

Prior to co-founding LoVasco Consulting Group, Gene served as President of Brown & Brown of Detroit, one of Michigan’s leading insurance, employee benefits, and retirement plan consulting companies. Gene joined Brown & Brown, Inc. in 2007 when his independent insurance agency ALCOS was acquired.

He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from Michigan State University, his J.D. from the University of Detroit Law School, and the CLU designation from the American College.  

Gene sits on the board of Racquet Up Detroit. He is also actively involved at the Pope Francis Homeless Center. He also enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, golfing, and biking.

Meg works with our team of professionals and clients to manage their insurance policies. Her customer service role is often synonymous with “caregiver.” Meg has been taking care of elder family members since she was 12 years old; her empathy allows her to relate to older clients and understand their concerns and unique needs.

For more than 40 years, Meg has served a range of clientele—from elderly annuity holders to executives. She began her insurance career with CNA in 1980. CNA’s reorganization in early 2002 allowed her the opportunity to join ALCOS (later Brown & Brown) as a Customer Service Representative in the Financial Services division.

Meg appreciates the close-knit, familial feel of LoVasco, where the well being of everyone is most important.

With years of experience spanning retail property and casualty, employee benefits, and life insurance, Roman is a seasoned Underwriter. He is passionate about guiding families through the estate planning process, meticulously navigating new cases to achieve optimal plan design, pricing, and structure. Roman holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Lake Forest College and is licensed in Illinois for Life & Health and Property & Casualty. Outside of work, he enjoys hiking, camping, fishing, and traveling. Additionally, Roman coaches his nephew's little league team.

As a wealth management consultant, Mike specializes in developing comprehensive financial planning strategies for individuals and their families, guiding them toward their long-term goals.

A graduate of Michigan State University, Mike combines a deep understanding of the financial markets with a sharp attention to detail. Passionate about delivering concierge-level financial advice, he is dedicated to transparency and building long-lasting, trusted relationships with his clients.

Outside of work, Mike enjoys spending quality time with his wife and son and is an avid outdoorsman. He is passionate about volunteer work, continuous learning, and physical fitness.
