I suppose that, in some ways, I’ve been in the strategic financial planning business for more than four decades. Though it’s not necessarily how I would have historically defined myself, I’ve heard from enough clients over the years that this is how they’ve described me to friends, families, and colleagues.
Now, we as a firm have decided to make it official, as we announce today the formation of our full-service suite of wealth management services to provide strategic guidance for individuals, their families, and their businesses (for those who own them), to include:

An Announcement 40 Years in the Making
Many of you might know me as the “life insurance guy.” Through much of my career, I’ve embraced this title. I’ve always seen advanced life insurance strategies as powerful tools for addressing complex estate planning and business succession challenges. At the center of most of my client relationships was a big-picture strategic plan that maximized the diverse benefits that life insurance provides, offering the financial security, confidence, and peace of mind that comes with it. But it was always about that big picture.
In guiding clients through life’s journeys, so often other questions would arise. I was flattered that clients would turn to me for guidance on matters that were, technically, outside of my core knowledge, but for whom I could refer trusted partners and vetted advisors to offer a broader range of planning and investment support to my valued clients. I was always humbled that such clients would place their trust in me, even if it were ultimately someone else providing the actual service or advice that my client needed.
Over the years, and my career that has spanned four iterations of consultancies, the questions and requests became increasingly common…and increasingly all-encompassing. It was no longer just about life insurance; it was about life more generally. Dreams. Visions for the future. Concerns and questions about the present or uncertain futures.
Finally, I understood this recurring persuasion to be a calling: for me and the LoVasco brand to officially offer what my clients have been seeking all along, and in many cases, considering us to be already.

Given the fact that we’ve been working with individual investors for as long as we’ve been partnering with companies to help them oversee their employee retirement programs (401(k), 403(b), pensions, etc.), this was always a natural evolution of our organization and our team. With more than a billion dollars of assets under management, my team and I have gained significant institutional knowledge of financial planning strategies and disciplined portfolio modeling and management. Combining that history and institutional knowledge with the estate planning knowledge and experience we’ve delivered for more than four decades makes today feels like a natural evolution, culminating in an advisory model that was always meant to be.
It’s true that I’ve always taken a holistic view of the broader financial needs of my clients — well beyond whatever policy or product I was in the business of providing. Without that full consideration, an insurance policy is only a product, when it should be one piece to a purposeful puzzle that solves the questions and concerns that face so many of us:
